The new and improved Bill Free package makes living out of college even more stress free and enjoyable.
Bill Free Homes offers luxurious, stylish and comfortable student living for competitive rents and now your Bill Free package includes even more.
Our Bill Free package now includes all your gas and electricity, water rates, the fastest available internet (24MBPS), TV licence, 32 – 50 inch TV, free membership to Commonwheels Car Club and personal insurance up to £3000 as standard.
Energy – All your gas and electricity are included in the rental price. This means that you pay the same in July as in December – no high energy bills in the cold North East winter, just a warm cosy house.
Safety - Over and above our statutory obligations to test for periodic gas and electrical safety we have decided to lead the way and insist that all of our houses have all portable electrical appliance safety tested annually.
Water Rates – All water rates are included in your rent.
Wireless Broadband – Internet speed of 24MBPS means that everyone can be watching BBC iPlayer at the same time without a reduction in performance.
TV License and TV – Your TV licence included in your rent. All our houses also have at least a 32 inch flat screen TV for you enjoy DVD’s and games consoles. All houses also come with Freeview as standard and some houses even come with a basic Sky package!
Commonwheels - When you rent a house from Bill Free Homes, you automatically get offered free membership to Commonwheels Car Club. This means that you can access a car when you need one! All you have to pay for is the miles you use it for. We pay your joining fee and insurance you pay a monthly standing charge and mileage ( standing charge is deducted from mileage for regular users.) It is your choice to take it or not!
Free Bikes - To help reduce car usage we have teamed up with Recyke y Bike to offer all tenants the choice of whether to have a free bike or not- we need plenty of notice and we will require a £100 deposit which you get back when you give us the bike back back in good order . Please buy a lock and a helmet and add it to your insurance!
24 hour emergency callout service - for real urgent emergencies we have the back up of Homecallplus .
Personal Insurance This is provided to protect your valuables in your house during your tenancy. Extra items can be added to the policy for a discounted rate, the insurance is provided by Cover4Students
We also have a number of partnerships with local companies throughout Durham so expect meal and drink offers from Fabio’s and the New Inn. As well as any other offers we receive from our commercial partners. However we are mindful of your privacy and you are always welcome to opt out .
Energy Exclusive
As with all our properties you can rent this house and take charge of your own energy bills. You will still benefit from all the fantastic extras you get with Bill Free Homes, but you pay for your gas and electric.
